The main objective of “Let’s Learn and Share Welding Techniques via Video”, a Leonardo da Vinci Partnership project, is to develop visual education sets based on video. Current, effective and productive training videos will be filmed and edited to show the application of welding techniques. The videos will be distributed to educators and institutions via CD, DVD and this website.
The idea for the project came up because of the partners’ perception that as far as welding is concerned, inadequate and ineffective techniques are in regrettably widespread use in the implementation of theoretical and practical vocational education.
Taking into account the aims of the Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme, the objectives of this project can be set out below in concise form:
Partners will undertake responsibilities according to their interest and capabilities. In addition silent partners will provide the project with necessary consumables and will enable the partners to benefit from the use of their training centres.
Videos created through the project will not only be filmed in educational institutions but also in other related institutions such as shipyards and steel construction factories. In this way welding activities can be shown in real working environments.
